So, I experienced my first bad hir day yesterday, kinda! I teach a Zumba class on Fridays at noon and after all the sweating I have to go back to work. I forgot to bring a sweatband to keep my hair off my forehead and neck so this was the result:
Just a limp resemblance of themselves. I don't know what I'm going to do about it until they mature. Any suggestions???

If you don't want to roll your hair at night just Spitz them in the morning and lay them how your want. Spritzing them with waters help with the manageability. Your bad hair day may be bad to you and not to some. I don't think they look bad at all but then again I could be bias =).
Your blog comments are working again!!
I tried to comment yesterday and it was down.
I'm still confused. Will you have to use curlers from now on?
I was at Target today and the checkout lady had what I thought were Sisterlocks. I actually asked her if they were, told her I had a friend that just had them put in. She said hers weren't...that they were extensions, but pointed to another checkout lady that did have them. They looked a lot like Whoopies...so cool.
Don't stress them, I would just add Jane Carter solution wrap and roll in the morning and finger comb.
Kreyola, I have been doing that daily and it's becoming exhaustive although I use a setting lotion (Lotta Body) too..
Marti, no I will not have to use rollers from now on. But because my hair is in transition (roots natural and ends relaxed) it is hard to maae now.. SO it's like trying to take care of 2 hair types on one head.
Sophia, what is Jane Carter solution?
Your blog is so completely thorough! You do like 25 jobs, and yet you work this blog as if it were your first! I love that energy!
That being said, I think your hair looks beautiful. Even on the day that you felt like it was "bad"; I think that was just accepting the new. I haven't had the challenge of sisterlocks (and maintaining relaxed/natural hair); but I know a hot mess when I see one-and that ain't it! The accessories look great and I'm sure that is helping you find your style w/your new style. But let's face it, this is new & different. It won't always look like it did before. Dealing with new is always difficult, but I have no doubt you're loving the rewards. Again, I am so proud of you! The addiction to the creamy crack is broken!! Lol!
